Mark J. Scafaria is the principal for Patent Research Advisors LLC. He has been involved with corporate and entrepreneurial intellectual property issues for most of his career. He has over 20 years of experience with Academic Institutions, Fortune 100 companies and successful start-ups, including Analytical Graphics, AT&T Wireless, Bigchalk.com(ProQuest), Computer Science Corporation, DuPont, General Electric Aerospace, IBM, Lockheed Martin, Mars Electronics, National IP Rights Center and NASA.
He has taught at the Department of Defense (DOD), MIT Lincoln Labs, NASA and the graduate program on business and technology leadership at Cabrini College, which included many topics on patent and trademark issues for emerging businesses.
Mark received his Masters Degree in Management from Pennsylvania State University with a concentration on corporate finance, crisis management and entrepreneurship. He also completed coursework for the Masters in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research before transferring into the management program. His Bachelor’s of Science degree is in Electrical Engineering from the University of Delaware.
